“North Atlantic” By Bernardo Nascimento. BFAE28006
STORY AND THEME

The film North Atlantic made me feel quiet, calm, and also a little sad. It felt like I was far away from everyone, just like the people in the story. The story grabbed my attention from the very beginning. Even though there were only a few people talking, it felt important and serious.

The story is about a pilot in the sky and a man on the ground. The pilot is lost in the sky and has no more fuel. The man on the ground is an air traffic controller on a small island. He tries to talk to the pilot and help him. They don’t know each other, but they share a powerful moment. The message of the film is about human connection, even when people are far apart. It teaches us how kind and calm we can be, even in very hard times. There were no big surprises in the story, but the quiet way it ended felt strong and emotional.

CHARACTERS AND PERFORMANCES
The two main characters felt very real. The air traffic controller was kind and calm, and the pilot sounded scared but brave. The actors did a great job. Even though we didn’t see much action, we could feel their feelings through their voices and faces. The pilot and the controller built a short friendship in just a few minutes. That made their connection feel very special.

CINEMATOGRAPHY
The pictures in the film were beautiful. The camera showed the lonely ocean, the sky, and the quiet airport. There was one special shot where we see the tiny aircraft flying over the big ocean. Showing how lost the aircraft or pilot is. The lighting and colours were soft and cool, showing the loneliness of the place. The camera helped us feel how small the characters were in the big world.

SOUND AND MUSIC
The music and sounds were very soft and gentle. The quiet sound helped us feel how serious and lonely the moment was. The voices were clear, and the silence was used well too. The soundtrack was not loud, but it made the story feel deep and thoughtful. It was not the kind of music you dance to, but it helped tell the story with feeling.
OVERALL IMPACT

This film really surprised me. Even though it was short and didn’t have big action, it felt powerful. Its biggest strength was the feeling of peace, silence, and kindness between two strangers. It showed us that even a small talk can have meaning. It didn’t have any big weakness, except that maybe some people who like action might think it’s too quiet.

The film made me feel proud of how people can care for each other, even in danger. I would surely recommend this film to others. It is short, beautiful, and full of heart. It leaves you thinking about how we treat others, especially strangers. The message stays in your heart even after the film ends.

Great work done
