FILM REVIEW:LAZY SUSAN

The film Lazy Susan, directed by Terry Timely, is a creative blend of adventure, comedy, and drama. It is calm in tone, occasionally funny, and also delivers a subtle educational message. Overall, it's an enjoyable and entertaining watch.
The film opens with Susan sitting idly, accompanied by dramatic background music. This opening sets the tone for the rest of the film and immediately introduces the audience to its dramatic and humorous style. The smooth transitions between scenes kept me engaged from the very beginning.
The title, Lazy Susan, perfectly captures the essence of the film. Although the ending takes an unexpected turn, it ties well into the overall theme. If I had to summarize the story in one sentence, it would be: “The story of a brilliant yet lazy girl.”
The central message of the film is that while laziness is often seen as a bad habit, it can sometimes lead to creative ideas that make life easier. Suzan’s laziness leads her to invent something that ultimately lands her a job, proving that even flaws can be turned into strengths.
All the characters delivered their roles convincingly. Their facial expressions and body language made them feel real and relatable. Whether it was happiness, frustration, or fatigue, their emotions were clearly portrayed on screen.
Susan stood out as the main character. Despite her laziness and unwillingness to move around, she ends up creating something useful that brings joy to others. Her sister Annie, on the other hand, is often frustrated by having to do all the housework alone. Their relationship adds emotional depth to the story. The tension between Susan and her family during dinner scenes also helps build stronger character dynamics.
Visually, the film used close-up shots effectively to show the characters’ emotions and reactions. Medium shots captured their actions and movements. Bright colors gave the film an adventurous and light-hearted feel, while the soundtrack added to the drama and comedy. The sound effects played an important role in helping the audience understand the mood of each scene. Dialogues were well-timed and worked smoothly with the background music, creating a balanced experience.
In conclusion, Lazy Susan met all expectations. It had a clear and direct message, and it evoked emotions ranging from laughter to excitement. It’s a film I would definitely recommend. It is both educational and entertaining, showing us that creativity can come from the most unexpected places even laziness.
