FUCK (THE REVIEW) BY GODFRED OWUSU
FILM REVIEW BY GODFRED OWUSU: FUCK
FUCK is a movie about a young couple trying to navigate their sex life after their first child. They try to make love one night but the loud cry from their nine month old baby keeps disrupting them and also personal life duties which brings tiredness.
The movie FUCK was funny at a point . It’s dramatic and funny. There was a bit of sensitivity in it.
In the beginning we see Adam trying to surprise his wife Sarah which she mis understood the surprise in a way. The transitions from one shot to the next was very clear which made easy to be engaged in.
To summarize the movie in a sentence without spoiling it I would say— Sex life after birth.
The main central message of the film is to tell the audience how life changes for new couples after they give birth and they heavy responsibilities after
There wasn’t any unexpected twist in the movie, the film followed a certain path from the beginning to the end which made in more understandable.
Both actors Brett Goldstein and Esther Smith were good in delivery. Their facial expressions and body language was on point making them believable and well-developed. You could feel the emotions being it happiness, tiredness or whatever.
The baby stood out positively by being a reason why his parents make love.
There wasn’t any compelling relationship between the characters.
Close up shots were used to show the character’s emotions when ever something happened to them. Also medium shots were used to show certain movements of the characters. Bright colours was used in the film to give it the adventurous feel and dramatic sounds to make it more dramatic. The soundtrack of the film enhanced the dramatic performance.
The sounds in the movie played a major role in telling the particular happening or action in the film.
The dialogues moved hand in hand with the sounds which made it more balanced.
At the end, all expectations about the film was met. The message was clear and direct. It also evoked dramatic, hilarious and adventurous emotions. FUCK is a movie I’ll recommend to everyone because it educative and relatable.
Written and produced by ScreenDaily Stars of Tomorrow 2018 Helen Simmons, Morgan’s film feels like it’s taking you in a somewhat downbeat direction, but then quickly turns into something more positive and warming. It’s not a dramatic twist, or particularly surprising, but emotionally it feels rewarding. As a 40-year old man, with two kids myself, it’s rare I find a film above love and relationships relatable, but FUCK succeeded where many, many others have failed
